A 10 to 15 minute walk (or 2 minute taxi) from town brings you to the Bath Village hot springs, in the grounds of the Bath Hotel, built in 1778 as the first tourist hotel in the Caribbean. The volcanic springs run at roughly 40 to 42 degrees Celsius and locals have attributed healing properties to the mineral water for generations. Bring a towel and something to bathe in. A small admission fee may apply following the 2025 renovations, and an attendant offers hand towels for a small tip.
Midday Option: Botanical Gardens and the Plantation Inns (1 to 1.5 Hours)
If you have taken a taxi tour, the route typically continues inland to the Botanical Gardens of Nevis, a family-owned 5 acre garden on former Montpelier Estate land with orchid terraces, dolphin fountains, and water lily ponds.
